Real Time 3d in Flash and Flex welcoming
I’m giving a presentation in English on Flash/Flex Real Time 3d next Tuesday, 20.05.2008.
Flash and 3d has been being around the corner for a while now.
From the pre-rendered inclusion of frame by frame vector artwork to pseudo 3d using 2d elements and Zsorting, Flash went through various steps, which thanks to its performance improvement years along, brought it to the true graal of 3d: real time 3d. With Actionscript Virtual Machine 2 (AVM2) faster pace, people started to work on viable 3d APIs and they have been building something which is currently working amazingly well. It is changing Flash production landscape in certain fields and is opening a new world of creativity.
This presentation will be a mix between conceptual diagrams, demo of the most amazing commercial and experimental use, code demonstration to start with 3d real time in Flash and Flex. I will not limit the presentation to Papervision3d, but also includes Away 3d and
Time is limited and subject so wide, that I’ll scratch only the surface of the Pandora box, but it may be the starting point to other presentations…
